As an architectural publisher, we believe our work carries a trully responsibility to promote architecture not only through magazines and books, but also and simultaneously through complementary activities and initiatives that bring people closer to the very essence of architecture’s purpose.
This partnership, was born from this conviction: to support meaningful physical experiences, social and intellectually fruitful connections, and allows our active clients and subscribers to participate at PORTO ACADEMY SUMMER SCHOOL'S with special conditions. This year at Porto.
Following the successful experience of the Summer School in Porto and the Visiting programs in Mexico, France, Sweden, Switzerland and Spain, Porto Academy is back in Porto to organize a Summer School that will take place from 14th to the 21st July 2026 .
Porto is not only the original venue but also an important architecture destination. Its historical legacy on the architecture scene is highly relevant due to the presence of iconic buildings and authors in the city.
Porto Academy and ESAP (Escola Superior Artística do Porto) share the common ground of interest and passion for the discipline of architecture. This is reflected by the quality of the different guest tutors who are recognized by their work in the field of education and practice. But also for the students or practitioners who are also coming from a wide range of origins turning this into an international and multicultural experience of learning.
Participants will be visiting buildings by Távora, Siza, Souto de Moura, Rem Koolhaas and others; and will be able to attend lectures and have as workshop leaders:
Andrea Faraguna, Atelier da Costa, Balissat Kacani, Bear, Laura Cristea, Marc Leschelier, Nuno Melo Sousa, Takk, Baukunst, Didier Fiuza Faustino, among others.
Atelier da Costa, Laura Cristea and Nuno Melo Sousa, was respectively published at AMAG PT 11, AMAG 29 and AMAG PT 07.
