Focusing on the most significant projects and exhibitions of Filipe Marques (1976, Vila do Conde, Portugal), this book proposes a comprehensive survey of the artist's work from 2001 to the present day. Richly illustrated, the book features installation views of all projects, complemented by a selection of documentary and reference images from the artist's archive. It includes texts by António Quadros Ferreira, Daniel Ribas, David Reves, Eduarda Neves, Inês Moreira, Isabel Nogueira, João Ribas, João Sousa Cardoso, Juan Luis Toboso, Maria Filomena Molder, Miguel Marques, Miguel von Hafe Perez, Nuno Faria, Pedro Marques Pinto, Pedro Pousada and Sara Castelo Branco.

Dawn is peeking already, we can already hear it dripping over the houses and the streets, I had better shut up now. A tree already burns joyfully for seeing the Sun. A whole square opens up where all and sundry are running, no hero to be seen, just people like us. We always walk beyond the imposed limit, my friend, my brother, my other self. The savage that roars in us galloping in the hot blood. A dog expresses itself in its continuous diphthongs. And, when night
falls at last, it finds us exhausted over sleeping statues. The dog licks each of our hands at the exact time and we walk beyond what was said once more.
