Over the last 25 years, Christ & Gantenbein have been developing a rigorous, functional and deeply rooted work in the local context. An approach that reveals a deep sensitivity and seeks a dialogue between the historical past and contemporary needs, reflecting an aesthetic and ethical commitment. A new perspective on how architecture can change cultural, social and urban identity, starting from the reinterpretation and preservation of heritage, to the enriching of spaces.

 

The recurrent use of models and drawings in their creative process reflects their commitment to thought and manual labour, and their participation and awarding in numerous international competitions confirm the recognition of their work and the universality of the addressed themes which goes beyond trends, focusing on timeless solutions that integrate heritage, materiality and the relationship between the past and the present, enriching and redefining the future of cities and individual well-being.
